Child Maltreatment Prevention Literature Review
This was a social work class project completed in response to a request from the Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, who was interested in learning the state of the literature on "what works" to prevent child maltreatment. The class was divided into groups and completed systematic literature reviews on a range of prevention programs, two doctoral students assisted with editing, and the final document was published and circulated by the Institute for Research on Poverty.
Outcomes
The information from this literature review will hopefully lead to more informed decisions about prevention programming strategies by government agencies and social welfare agencies across the state.
