Revision of uCount software documentation for non-profits (DaneNet; UW Madison course: EPD265)
UW-Madison course EPD265:Teams and the Engineering Profession (with an affiliation to national EPICS) involved having the class update the user documentation for uCount, which is a record keeping software developed by DaneNet, a local IT support organization for non-profits. The software uCount is used at non-profit organizations, such as community, senior, and youth centers. It simplifies the check-in process by using a scanner and barcodes. It also provides record keeping features required by government and funding agencies to verify participation, volunteers, and program utilization. Local use of uCount has occurred at Meadowood Neighborhood Center.
Outcomes
The software uCount provides improved computer based record keeping on participation, volunteers, and program utilization for non-profit organizations. DaneNet developed the software and the "Teams and the Engineering Profession" class provided the updated user documentation.
