Modeling School Finance Reform in Wisconsin
In cooperation with the School Finance Network, a collaborative effort of all the major education organizations in the state--representing school boards, school administrators, teachers, and parents--designed and constructed a computer simulation model to help analyze the impacts of various school funding reform proposals.
Outcomes
The release of a school funding reform plan by the School Finance Network. The Wisconsin Idea project contributed to the development of the plan and provided estimates of the budgetary implications of the plan and the impacts on increased funding available to each of the state's 426 public school districts.
