Wisconsin Bioenergy Summit
Started in 2008, the Wisconsin Bioenergy Initiative (WBI) holds an annual Bioenergy Summit in the fall that is free and open to the public. Biofuel leaders and stakeholders gather to listen to key speakers and engage in plenary sessions, interactive breakout sessions and workshops all focusing on bioenergy and biofuels. Content includes subjects such as biomass conversion and sustainablity, bioenergy incentives and economics, and bioenergy education.
Outcomes
Last year at the second annual WBI Summit "Growing Wisconsin's Future in a Bio-Based Economy," attendees heard from an array of speakers, including Governor Jim Doyle. This year's summit will be held at the Monona Terrace on Thursday, October 14, 2010.
