Earth Focus Day Camp (EFDC)

Since 1991, Earth Focus Day Camp has created outstanding summer nature programs for children and youth in grades preschool through middle school. EFDC helps children and youth develop an understanding of how ecosystems work, nurtures a sense of wonder for nature, and guides them as they explore the habitats, plants, and animals of the Arboretum. Children and youth are empowered to be a positive influence on their world. Our naturalists are enthusiastic and experienced, but the real teacher is our most treasured resource: the land. Join us to learn, grow, and be a part of this special place.

Outcomes

Children and youth spending time outside promotes both physical and emotional health and well-being. Children and youth connecting to the natural world helps them grow into informed citizens, able to make decisions for a healthy planet and healthy communities. Children and youth with a shared interest, coming together from many communities, fosters new friendships, allowing them to practice social skills and communication skills, as they learn to work together as a team.
