Wisconsin Coverts Project
The Wisconsin Coverts Project is a woodland wildlife management program for private landowners in Wisconsin and neighboring states. Over the course of 4 days, attendees receive training from forestry and wildlife professionals in the classroom and in the field. Participants learn about forest-wildlife habitat relationships and about valuable resources (e.g. professionals, cost-share programs) that can help them achieve their land management goals. Through this program landowners agree to create and implement wildlife management plans on their properties and to serve as resources for other landowners interested in land stewardship.
