Training for Nutrient Management Planners
The Training for Nutrient Management Planners consists of two workshops designed for current and potential nutrient management plan writers in Wisconsin. Production agronomists and county-based conservation staff involved in nutrient management programs attend two-day workshops that provide in-depth training on the preparation of quality nutrient management plans. Throughout the workshops participants work in small groups to prepare a functional plan for a real Wisconsin farm.
Outcomes
2009 workshop topics included current federal and state program requirements, introduction to new nutrient management planning tools, and overview of the SNAP-Plus nutrient management planning software program.
