Basic Small Animal Ultrasound Techniques
The Basic Small Animal Ultrasound Techniques is an annual one-day conference held through the Office of Continuing Veterinary Medical Education at the UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. This program will offer small animal clinicians an entry level introduction to diagnostic ultrasound including scanning routine, basic measurements, image optimization, and purchasing guidelines. During the conference four hours of lectures will cover major abdominal organ sonographic anatomy and scanning technique for both dogs and cats. There will also be four hours of hands-on opportunities on normal dogs. Animals will be scanned in lateral recumbency.
