Project HealthDesign
Project HealthDesign is a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that's housed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing. The project aims to explore the potential of personal health records (PHRs) and the value of patient-sourced data such as observations of daily living (ODLs). We also work to influence national health policy related to health IT. (Read our health policy comments at bit.ly/ofcfiG.) As we seek to influence health policy, we hope to help create a health IT infrastructure that meaningfully incorporates patient-sourced (and caregiver-sourced) health data. We hope to see this work improve the health and health care of all U.S. residents, including Wisconsin residents.
Outcomes
We've seen several final versions of the federal health policies on which we've commented incorporate some of our suggestions promoting patient-sourced health data such as observations of daily living.
