Curb Magazine
Students in Journalism 417 produce a magazine each fall semester and circulate it throughout the state in print, and without boundaries online. Students produce content that furthers the Wisconsin Idea by using the resources and expertise of the university to benefit citizens of the state. Students have produced a series of engaging philosophies for the publication, including efforts on arts and culture, hints for young professionals, civically engaging residents and exploring the intersection of the many identities that make Wisconsin rich.
Outcomes
Each year, the students who produce Curb magazine illuminate Wisconsin's stories through the state's unique people, places and ideas. It strives to tell untold stories, focusing on the Wisconsin many people drive past.
