Networking Across the Supply Chain:Transportation Innovations in Local and Regional Food Systems
We are gathering together business representatives from across the Upper Midwest who are building new supply chains for a regional food system to share experiences and inform an agenda for research and business development.
Outcomes
This is a first meeting of its kind nationally. We expect businesses to make new contacts along the regional food supply chain that will result in business gains. We will produce a proceedings of the event that can inform a wider audience. USDA-AMS is funding this effort and has hopes that it will serve as a model for other similar meetings around the U.S. We will be posting the proceedings on the web site, as well as list action steps that arise from the meeting.
