Wisconsin Idea Scholar Program (2012-13)
From Feburary 3, 2012 to February 15, 2013, a group of 31 community leaders from all over the state convened at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and various locations across the state as part of the Wisconsin Idea Scholars Program (WISP). The group included CEOs, nonprofit leaders, farmers, small business owners and others to discuss what matters to them, their communities and how the Wisconsin Idea can continue to grow. In honor of the year of the Wisconsin Idea, the WISP cohort gathered for nine "learning day" seminars at locations ranging from Milwaukee to Minocqua, to discuss topics like health care and the Wisconsin budget, K-12 education in Wisconsin, food, agriculture and nutrition and economic development in Green Bay.
