GLS Center Playsquads
Through games, the Games Learning Society Center makes scientific discovery visible to the public by creating digital games for learning science. While engaged in scientific worlds, players not only experience the fun of problem-solving, but also learn factual information, concepts, skills and the values of the scientific enterprise. In partnership with the Wisconsin Institutes of Discovery, the GLS Center hosts field trip opportunities for groups of students and after school club members to participate in play-testing sessions around the learning games. Sessions have been held at the WID, in the GLS Center new purple center space, and remotely at community centers and Madison Public Library branches.
