Genocide Prevention
Dr. Scott Straus works with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to help train government officials and the general public on the principles of genocide prevention. Dr. Straus is currently working with the Museum on developing a publicly available, general introduction to the principles of genocide prevention. The text would become the backbone of a new training initiative on the part of the United States government. Dr. Straus also works with the Office of the Special Adviser on Genocide Prevention at the United Nations.
Outcomes
A book: Fundamentals of Atrocity Prevention (due out mid-2015). A report for the UN office called "Inhibitors and Triggers of Atrocity."
