UW Geology Museum Tour Program
The Geology Museum is a popular tour destination on the UW-Madison campus. From kindergarten classes through adult civic groups, the tours are tailored to deliver age-appropriate content to each group. The tour program educates and inspires visitors of all ages. Each year while on a tour of the museum over 14,000 Wisconsin school children have a chance to touch rocks from a time when there were volcanoes in Wisconsin, see corals, jellyfish and other sea creatures that used to live and swim where we now walk, and stand under the tusks of a mastodon while imagining themselves in the Ice Age.
