The Morgridge Center for Public Service

The mission of the Morgridge Center for Public Service is to "Connect campus with community through service, service learning and community-based research to build a thriving democratic society." Their vision is to "Lead the university in preparing students for lifelong civic engagement by building capacity, in partnership with the community, to solve complex problems locally and globally. The Morgridge Center is a vital link to the community through its Badger Volunteers program and community-based learning courses. They now support more than 3,400 students each year who volunteer in the community, contributing 17,000 hours on a regular basis, by assisting the elderly, the disabled, and vulnerable students, a financial value of $316,700.
