LISAR's programs increase the public's understanding of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Events both on and off campus regularly draw 100-200 people. The community and student forums, which include fellows from the UW-Madison student body, engage members and explore varieties of personal religious experience. The Fellows return to their communities with expertise in improving interreligious relationships. The Institute has led the drive on campus to underline the importance of religion as an aspect of personal identity and is influencing the course of diversity training.
