Post Graduate Psychiatric Nursing Capstone Certificate Program
Sobering statistics about the rise in military suicides as soldiers transition back to families and communities drive home the need for a stronger commitment to accessible community-based mental health services. In the fall of 2012, the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Nursing launched its Post Graduate Psychiatric Nursing Capstone Certificate Program. The capstone certificate program is designed to respond to state and national workforce demands for experienced, board-certified nurses in the psychiatric mental health workforce. It will give students the knowledge and competence to look for mental health care needs in diverse populations across Wisconsin.
