Compassion Project, Center For Investigating Healthy Minds
Based on the findings of Dr. Richard Davidson (who has found a link between the practice of compassion and healthier brains) the Appleton Compassion Project is a community art project to encourage the practice of compassion. Students were asked to draw or paint their idea of compassion on a six by six tile. As Dr. Davidson's research shows that compassion can be learned and practiced as a skill, the project aims to help cultivate compassion, and therefore healthier brains, in K-12 students in the Appleton area.
