Wisconsin Public Health Research Network (WPHRN)
The Wisconsin Public Health Research Network (WPHRN) links public health practitioners and researchers to answer questions and disseminate discoveries that can be applied to improve public health practice and population health. The network promotes collaboration on research proposals and projects and disseminates research results relevant to improving public health practice. Members include public health professionals, researchers, students, and others from health departments, academic, and professional organizations.
Outcomes
WPHRN currently has approximately 270 members. Members include public health professionals and researchers from local, tribal, and state health departments, colleges and universities, healthcare systems, centers and institutes. Since 2009, WPHRN has supported the development of several research project proposals and has led or been a co-investigator on many funded projects. Public health practitioners can learn from the findings of these projects, leading to evidence-informed practice. WPHRN can also help pubic health practitioners and researchers understand one another's needs/interests. It can support the more timely translation and dissemination of research findings through its newsletter, website, and partnerships.
