Nutrition, Environment, and Food Systems for Empowerment (NEFSE)-Ethiopia
The Nutrition, Environment, and Food Systems for Empowerment (NEFSE)-Ethiopia program is a capacity-building program that aims to nurture sustainable rural community development in southern Ethiopia by training youth leaders and providing them with resources and support to launch community projects. The NEFSE-Ethiopia program will help Ethiopian youth build better futures by teaching leadership, teamwork, and communication skills among teams of youth from rural Ethiopian communities, and provide resources and mentoring to help the youth take these lessons back home and implement projects that build resilience and strengthen local food systems. This program expands upon the existing UW-Ethiopia twinning partnership.
