Reducing Alcohol Abuse among LGBTQ Youth in Wisconsin
This project will replicate a culturally-competent alcohol harm reduction and prevention model tailored for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) youth in Milwaukee, Appleton and Green Bay. The goal of the program is increasing access for LGBTQ youth ages 14-20 to interventions that support a reduction in binge and underage drinking, a major concern for the youth-centered LGBTQ community. The program is partly funded by a grant through the Wisconsin Partnership Program's Community-Academic Partnership 2013 Fund.
Outcomes
The program expects to decrease risky drug and alcohol related behavior for the LGBTQ youth community.
