ACTIVATE: Advocacy for Children
With 40 percent of children in Wisconsin living below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Line, the use of advocacy training and techniques can help change poor outcomes that result from early years spent in adversity. By connecting professional organizations, community-based agencies and training centers, the goal of this project is to identify, analyze and mobilize around critical child health topics. The program is partly funded by a grant through the Wisconsin Partnership Program's Community-Academic Partnership 2013 Fund.
