The Wisconsin Idea in Action

Wisconsin Science Festival

The award-winning, annual Wisconsin Science Festival, based on the UW-Madison campus and featuring events in more than 30 locations around the state, connects the general public with groundbreaking research and discoveries through hundreds of interactive, engaging and accessible activities. Activities range from brat-making to the discovery of the Higgs Boson and extend to original dance and native American drum circles. More than 30,000 members of the UW-Madison community, Wisconsin citizens and visitors from more than 15 states come together over four days each year to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Wisconsin citizens, including UW-Madison faculty, staff and students and generate more than and estimated $500K in economic impact.
