Bringing Clean Water to Tabuga: Engineers Without Borders‐UW, Ecuador Project
Engineers Without Borders (EWB) partners undergraduate engineers and professional mentors with communities throughout the world to develop sustainable projects. Projects vary in location and scope, but the problems being addressed are in-depth, long term and vital to the community’s health. The Ecuador project of the UW-Madison chapter of EWB is working to restore and improve a water treatment system for the community of Tabuga, Ecuador and provide the community with the skills needed to maintain the system for years to come. The students and professionals who travel to Ecuador bring back a more global perspective and share these experiences through multiple avenues including media, outreach events, and educational efforts.
