Water Sustainability and Climate Project
The Water Sustainability and Climate project is examining how changes in climate, land use, and human demand could impact water quality, food production, and other natural benefits people rely on in Wisconsin’s Yahara Watershed. The project includes Yahara 2070, a set of four plausible scenarios for the region’s future based on different ways current generations could manage freshwater resources. Yahara 2070 is intended to help local decision makers build resilience and facilitate public discussion about a desirable future. To ensure their research can support local efforts, the project team is highly engaged in outreach through public talks, workshops, partnerships, public resource creation, and an active web presence.
