Specialty Care Training in Speech Pathology
Speech-language pathologists from around the state can partner with specialized speech-language pathologists in the UW Voice and Swallow Clinics for hands-on continuing clinical education. Clinicians gain specialized training in evaluation and treatment of adults and/or children with voice disorders and with cleft palate. This can be done through observation in our UW Health clinic or accompanying a mutual patient to their multidisciplinary UW team evaluation or therapy session. Speech–language pathologists at any point in their career can participate in this program to learn about up-to-date evidence-based clinical care. This program is open to speech pathologists in all settings, including schools, medical settings and birth-to-three.
