Wonders of Physics Traveling Show
The Wonders of Physics program was created in 1984 to generate interest in physics among people of all ages and backgrounds. In 2005, the show traveled to every county in Wisconsin as part of the World Year of Physics celebration. The heart of the program is a fast-paced presentation of physics demonstrations, carefully chosen to be entertaining as well as educational. The show presents to mostly elementary and middle school groups. The presentation is an introduction to the six areas of classical physics (motion, sound, light, thermodynamics, electricity, and magnetism) as well as modern physics and includes hands-on demonstrations for students.
Outcomes
The Wonders of Physics Traveling Show does up to 100 presentations per year throughout Wisconsin and beyond. Since 2001, this program has done more than 1,800 presentations and exposed more than 100,000 students to The Wonders of Physics.
