Farm to School, Center for Integrated Agricultural Studies
The Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems is a lead partner in Wisconsin Farm to School (WIF2S) and Wisconsin Farm to Early Care and Education (WI Farm to ECE), promoting projects that connect Wisconsin farmers with Wisconsin schools and children to provide local foods in school meals. Educational activities like classroom curriculum, school gardens, and farm field trips engage students with the sources of their food and are also a valuable component of F2S. CIAS is expanding efforts to engage institutions such as college campuses and hospitals in the farm to cafeteria momentum.
