Covering Wisconsin (CWI)
Covering Wisconsin (CWI), based at the UW School of Human Ecology and affiliated with UW-Extension, connects residents with appropriate insurance coverage and other programs that support health and promotes effective use of these programs. CWI serves as Wisconsin’s largest health insurance Navigator entity, with offices in both Madison and Milwaukee and partners statewide. Services include health coverage outreach and enrollment for low-income residents, training, program development, and technical assistance for community-based service providers. CWI’s health insurance literacy programming focuses on helping consumers engage with health care while promoting effective dialogue between health care professionals and consumers.
