Girls Math Night Out!
Girls Math Night Out! is an outreach program through the UW Department of Mathematics. The program involves high school females interested in pursuing math and science. They are paired with a graduate student mentor, and together they work on a project to present at the end of the semester. The program is meant to provide a noncompetitive, projects-based experience in math and its applications to the real world. Girls Math Night Out! has been offered for over 10 years. It is funded by a grant from the Ira and Ineva Reilly Baldwin Wisconsin Idea Endowment.
