Manufacturing Technologist and Technician Education (METTE) Project
The METTE (Manufacturing Engineering Technologist and Technician Education) project is an initiative by the National Science Foundation. METTE was a four-year practitioner-researcher partnership, concluding in September 2015, in which factors associated with student success were documented. The project was designed to improve success in two-year college programs that prepare students to enter employment or transfer to further programs in fields related to manufacturing as engineering technologists and technicians. Data was used to inform program improvement and provide insight to education and training policies. The research was used to implement targeted student success strategies on each campus. Data was gathered from four colleges.
