Great World Texts
Great World Texts is a program of the UW–Madison Center for the Humanities. It creates a relationship between scholars at the university and high school teachers and students throughout the state of Wisconsin. Each year, the Great World Texts program chooses a work of classic literature throughout history, from ancient Greece to contemporary India. The program encourages collaborative learning, with scholars and teachers working together to interpret and understand each text and supportive curriculum materials. The program also includes a final student conference, where students from the participating schools share their work with the literature piece and listen to distinguished speakers.
