UW Speech and Hearing Clinic
UW-Madison opened the nation’s first speech clinic in 1914. Over 100 years later, the UW Speech and Hearing Clinic (UWSHC) is still up and running. The UWSHC is a practicing teaching clinic. Graduate students are supervised by state-licensed, nationally certified speech-language pathologists and audiologists. Services at the UWSHC include evaluation, treatment and consultation services and care for any person with a communication disorder. The treatment at the teaching clinic is accessible, culturally competent and evidence-based, and it is available for anyone in need of assistance.
