Kids with Incarcerated Parents Blog
In this blog, I bring up issues that I encounter in my professional role as a scientist and an advocate for children whose parents are incarcerated. I post recent findings from my lab; link to my colleague’s research and intervention that is making a difference in the lives of children and families; and discuss issues that I present in my graduate seminars entitled Children with Incarcerated Parents or Incarceration and the Family.
Outcomes
The public learns about issues related to mass incarceration and child development and family well-being; affected children and families feel supported; professionals who work with children and their incarcerated parents will learn about up-to-date research and resources to support their roles; graduate students have an outlet for their writing about children with incarcerated parents and their families.
