First, therapeutic horseback riding centers will be trained on best dementia care and program implementation practices for RM. Second, students involved in this project will expand their knowledge and experience in dementia care and community-based participatory research, and develop and strengthen connections with community members. In addition, students will present project findings at annual conferences such as the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International. Third, the collected data will inform future pilot studies of RM. Altogether, these outcomes will support our long-term goal of enhancing the quality of life of adults with dementia and their families.
