UW School of Medicine and Public Health, Ophthalmic Pathology Laboratory
The eye pathology laboratory is a nationally recognized facility that receives eye pathology specimens from Gundersen, Marshfield and Aurora clinics and from medical groups and ophthalmologists throughout the state, country, and internationally. The eye pathology laboratory was started in 1920. It is an important resource not only for diagnosis but for research and training.
Outcomes
Provides prompt and accurate diagnoses for ophthalmic surgeons and their patients. The specimens are also used in teaching and research.
