Pediatric Ophthalmology Outreach Clinic
UW-Madison associate professor Yasmin Bradfield, MD, provides specialized medical and surgical eye care to children in the Fox Valley area who have difficulty traveling to the UW-Madison ophthalmology clinic. This ranges from providing proper glasses to promote normal visual development, amblyopia treatment, as well as surgical intervention for strabismus, cataract, nasolacrimal duct obstruction and glaucoma. Bradfield also provides educational lectures on pediatric ophthalmology to community pediatricians and family practitioners.
Outcomes
Bradfield helps with the prevention of permanent visual loss in children secondary to amblyopia, cataract and glaucoma, promoting healthy visual development in children under 18 years of age, offering surgical treatment for strabismus, nasolacrimal duct obstruction, cataract and glaucoma and provides examinations in Menasha, Wis. to 25 to 30 patients per month.
