Science Saturdays at UW Space Place
The UW Space Place offers science workshops every Saturday during the public school year (roughly September through June) for children ages 6-10 and their parents. The workshops are free and open to the general public and provide children with new ways to study various science topics. The weekend workshops present various experiments ranging from crystal usage and properties and to how to use carbon dioxide to make exploding bags and lava lamps.
Outcomes
Science education activities for children and families that are publicly available free on a regular basis. The UW Space Place hosts more than 10,000 visitors a year and provides a unique opportunity for children to experiment with different fields of science.
