Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute-Affiliated Dementia Diagnostic Clinic Network
The Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute (WAI) has been critical to the development of a network of 44 affiliated dementia diagnostic clinics. WAI provides education, mentorship and support to over 200 physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers and nurses within this statewide network. The clinics provide quality care to more than 3,000 new patients each year, many from rural, underserved parts of the State. The network provides opportunities for research and education extending beyond the borders of the UW and directly influencing the health of WI residents and families affected by AD. Its development has required over a decade of grassroots outreach and collaboration.
