Strong Rural Communities Initiative
The Rural Health Development Council was awarded a $299,815 implementation grant in 2006 from UW-Madison's Wisconsin Partnership Program (WPP) to increase access to preventive health services and improve health outcomes for selected rural communities through new collaborations between businesses, rural medical and public health providers. The grant supports three community-driven work site wellness programs: ProActive Jackson County, ENERGY at Work in Sawyer County, and FIT: Fitness-Improvement-Teamwork Program in Sauk County.
