Agriculture Accounting and Information System (AAIMS)
AAIMS is a stand-alone transparent double entry accounting program developed at the UW-Madison Center for Dairy Profitability that allows for the concurrent storage of physical information associated with the farm business financial data. It enables farmer managers to use a personal computer to enter, organize, and quickly analyze their monthly and annual financial records. It also produces standard financial reports plus graphs.
Outcomes
Good record keeping is important, not only for tax purposes but also for efficient farm management. Financial records help farm managers understand how and where their business is going. Record keeping and sound data interpretation will help define weak areas of a farm business operation.
