Osher Returning Adult Undergraduate Scholarship
The Osher Reentry Scholarship Program is supported by the Bernard Osher Foundation, which seeks to recognize the challenges for working adults to return as they balance family, work, and school responsibilities in order to achieve their goals. Osher Reentry Scholarships are awarded annually on a competitive basis to 10 undergraduates who demonstrate the potential for academic success and degree completion. Students must have a gap of at least 5 years in their formal education and anticipate workforce participation for a significant period of time following graduation. The online application is available December 1 to March 1, and is coordinated by the Adult Career & Special Student Services, advising@dcs.wisc.edu
Outcomes
We are one of 88 universities nationwide selected to receive the endowment and offer students an annual $5,000 scholarship. Since 2006, 10 adults have been supported each year. 86% have completed their degree or continue to be enrolled.
