Applied Learning Projects (ALPs) for Bolz Center for Arts Administration students
Graduate students in the Bolz Center for Arts Administration participate in hands-on projects with leading nonprofit arts and cultural institutions and statewide municipalities. The partnerships offer high-level professional staff for host organizations and communities, as well as real-world management and leadership experience for students. This initiative has sustained and advanced arts organizations for the past 5 decades and continues to enrich cultural opportunities across the state.
Outcomes
Through this applied practice and work mentorship, students engage in a variety of projects and initiatives throughout the placement and come away with a new set of knowledge and skills that will inform the work in their future careers. Organizations find the placements significant because students provide fresh perspective and relevance, as they are studying the latest research and trends in the field, and applying their work directly to the placement. Students are instrumental in ensuring that the mission of the organization thrives every day.
