Skin Cancer Screening
The annual Skin Cancer Screening on the Square is a free service offered to the public, where UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health faculty and residents conduct skin exams looking for skin cancer. They also educate participants about the signs of skin cancer and more importantly how to protect themselves from the adverse effects of sun exposure.
Outcomes
Approximately 80 individuals receive free skin cancer screenings at this event each year, and important education is provided for the prevention of skin cancer.
