The Wisconsin Idea in Action

Institute for Clinical and Translational Research

The goal of the University of Wisconsin Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (UW-ICTR) is to create an environment that transforms research into a continuum from investigation through discovery and to translation into real-life community practice, thereby linking even the most basic research to practical improvements in human health. The institute was developed as a partnership effort between the Health Science Schools/College at UW-Madison (Schools of Medicine and Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine and the College of Engineering) and Marshfield Clinic.
